Olivier started playing guitar at the age of seven. His first bands were at primary school age with the focus on rock music. After entering the School of Young Talent in 2014 at the Conservatory of The Hague, he made his move to jazz. As of 2019 he studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. His teachers over the past years include Jens Larsen, Maarten van der Grinten, Martijn van Iterson and Reinier Baas.
Although still young of age, Olivier gained substantial musical milage in performing as guitarist in multiple formations including the Dutch National Youth Jazz Orchestra. Since 2014 he has won several prizes with his performances in The Netherlands and abroad including the Prinses Christina Concours.
Besides performing, he is active in composing. His style is developing, though breathes his respect for the founders of the jazz music combined with modern elements showing his creativity, sensitivity and daring. His debut album Home is inspired by and an honour to his roots in The Hague.
