Disaster demands to be heard —and felt. Subtelty has no place here.

At its core, Disaster is an homage to the saxophone—an instrument that has shaped Kane's musical world. “The working title was How Saxophone Changed My Life —cheesy, but true,” he admits. With a roster of top-tier collaborators (check the full credit list below), Kane composed intricate, challenging horn arrangements, blending the raw power of live brass with digital elements. The result? A contrast between hyper-real and artificial soundscapes, where MIDI horns and live horns coexist in unpredictable harmony. 

Kane is one-half of the duo Dolphin Hyperspace, alongside saxophonist Nicole McCabe, and a driving force in the explosive five-piece Thumpasaurus. With saxophonist Henry Solomon, he forms one-half of Outside World, and he also lends his dynamic energy as an auxiliary member of the ever-unpredictable duo Fievel Is Glauque. As a bassist, producer, and composer, Kane is constantly creating.

Trying to fit Kane’s music into a single genre is a disservice—an impossible task. It’s jazz with the intensity of rock, the ferocity of punk, and the fearless experimentation of the avant-garde. It ticks every box while breaking all the rules, existing everywhere and nowhere at once.
