One day we'll have a window is the fourth album from British saxophonist, composer and bandleader Sam Newbould. Written in his windowless basement studio in Amsterdam, the album explores human connection in an increasingly divided world. Combining quintet recordings with intimate, self-produced pieces, Newbould embraces a more spontaneous and vulnerable approach to composition. Blending jazz with electronic textures, layered saxophones and vocals, the music moves freely beyond genre boundaries. At its heart, One day we'll have a window is about seeing through the walls that are dividing us, and see each other just for what we are.
